Product Design Challenges
Implementing Design 1st’s proven product design process, the team was able to overcome several obstacles to:
- Develop an optimized heat sink design to control temperature inside the device during use
- Careful selection of sheet metal manufacturing design and surface finishing
- Balance simplicity in user interface, with full functionality to support an all-in-one video production system

- Successful industry-launch of Pearl in twelve months after production development was started
- Epiphan Pearl won four industry awards recognizing excellent design and 'best-in-market' technology
- Full volume production run of custom sheet metal housing design with powder-coated surface finishing
