LifePod came to Design 1st with a napkin sketch for a voice-activated caregiver designed for seniors wanting to stay at home longer and required a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to demonstrate the product’s main features.

Design Challenges
Once a final design concept was chosen, the team went to work building a fully functional prototype and tackled several major design challenges, including:
- Selection of off-the-shelf voice activated technology to customize with pre-selected caregiving features including daily routines, periodic check-ins with users, and sending updates to family members
- Seamless Integration with AVS (Alexa Voice Service) platform and wifi connectivity
- Intuitive user-interface design to accommodate caregivers and end users
