Engineering Challenges
Implementing Design 1st’s proven design and engineering process, the team was able to overcome several obstacles:
- Design, engineer, and test a patented "SpiroTip" rotating motion technology, mimicking features of an electric toothbrush
- Test dozens of tip designs to concentrate sensation
- Balance battery power, weight, and cost
- Rotate tip at speeds up to 7000 rpm with pulsing pressure at 300rpm without stalling the motor drive
